  13. I love sushi but don’t always know the best items to choose. If you are trying to find calorie and nutritional information for sushi, the best website I have found is SushiFAQ

    • fredsarkari says:

I saw the bluefin auction on the website. Reminds me of my visit to the fish market in Japan. It was an amazing experience and the best sushi I have ever had.

  14. Mads says:

    Hi Fred

Do you have some wise words that can help me make this week productive?

    Mads

    • fredsarkari says:

Mads, yes I do. Smile and love every minute of it. The good, bad, and ugly. No matter what happens just smile and embrace it.

I am serious, do that all week and you will see a difference in how you look at any situation.

  20. Colette says:

I found out a bout you from AboutFace, I am a member and I think what your doing for these kids is amazing. AboutFace is amazing and a wonderful organization. Kudos to you!

    • fredsarkari says:

Hello Colette, thank you for the nice comment. I cannot do any of this without the support of people like yourself, so thank you as well.

      Hope you enjoy the book

  21. Louise says:

I received your “Courage to be Naked” book yesterday and read it in one sitting. My kids gave me an inquisitive look but “got it” after explanation of the meaning of the title. It was a perfect ‘teachable moment’ as we engaged in discussion about superficiality, being comfortable with your strengths and weaknesses, difference between imitating and emulating, etc. …Deep!!!

  22. Fred sarkari says:

Louise so glad you enjoyed the book and was able to use it as a teaching moment with your kids. Very precious.

Would you mind if I use what you wrote as a testimonial with your name?

If so can you directly email me with you full name and city.

    Thank you

    Fred@fredsarkari.com

  23. Louise says:

Okay, so here’s what I got out of the “Naked” book:
Be your authentic self, embrace your flaws, “connect with others” (build relationships), and work to improve your performance.
In hindsight, this is what I’ve been stiving for most of my life. In an effort to NOT be hypocritical, I have attracted people in my life that are genuine – a quality I admire and value greatly.

    • Fred sarkari says:

Louise that is amazing. I aso glad the book was such a positive reminder of how you already live your life.

      Thank you for sharing

  24. This is my chance to have iPad so I am going to do everything just to win in this contest sir.

Thank you for this contest..answered prayer.

    • fredsarkari says:

Dwight, your post made me laugh.

Thank you for the kind words on my blog and I do wish you the best of luck in winning the iPad.

  25. Nadia Buckley says:

I’m not sure if I have to just post on this one to get another ballot but I will post on this one and all the others I read too :)

Have an awesome long weekend. Stay safe! :)

    • fredsarkari says:

Nadia, you can comment on any blogs. I am typing this from my new iPad. Love this thing and you will too.

  26. Sarah says:

I want to win…I want to win!!!

  27. Louise says:

Another chance at the ipad. See you at CanFitPro conference in August…you’ll be there right?

  28. Carol says:

Great cause…thank you for supporting it Fred and all others who have contributed to this wonderful cause as well.

  29. Nadia Buckley says:

It’s me again!! Not sure that I’m going to catch up to Mads 48 entries/posts so my back up plan is to have the best posts :) Story to tell you about. I went to the district girl guides camp with my 7 year old daughter for one night.(7 year old girls are odd) Anyways thru the day I was approched by girls in grade 4-5 which was fine. Actually is was way better than 7 year olds. We had great conversation about moms and dads, bullies and boyfriends. It felt like I was able to get to their level and relate even though I’m 28. By the end of the 30-45min convo I walked away feeling like I fit right there talking to them. Like what I was saying ment something to them and most of all they weren’t running around screaming like my 7 year old daughter and her friends. #thesmallthings

    • fredsarkari says:

Nadia, life is never abut catching up – it is all about what we can do, small or big. :) – that being said Mads does rock – he has really made me think with his comments. Maybe, when I do the ipad 2 draw and IF he does not win I should find him a second prize. :) – what do you think?

Regarding your experience, that is amazing. That is what makes spending time with children so valuable and more so enjoyable. I have had the best conversations with children.

      • Nadia Buckley says:

I think Mads is rad!! It’s gunna be hard not to pull his name :o ) If he doesn’t win I most defiantly think he needs a prize for being the MVP :o )

        • fredsarkari says:

Ha ha – Mads, is awesome and seems like an amazing coach to his team. It truly shows how much he cares about their success as athletes.

They, 3rd party, is doing the draw for the ipad2 July 1st. Very curious to know who the winner will be.

          • Mads says:

Thanks for the nice words. I am enjoying writing in this blog. I am happy you appreciate my comments :)

All the best to you guys from a summerhouse in Iceland where we enjoy the sun and the wiev of the snow on the mountains.

            Mads

  30. Mads says:

Nadia >> isnt is just great being around kids.

I am curious. What did you learn about life while listening to the innocent wisdom of these kids?

    Mads

    • fredsarkari says:

Mads, you have the best questions and insights – Nadia, looking forward to your answer.

Thanks for sharing all the time.

    • Nadia Buckley says:

That being a Mom is the most important job I can do. Teaching my kids how to responsible and confident. Not only to respect the world and people around them but to respect themselves. That to me is huge, with self respect comes extend respect to others and our beautiful world. Children really are innocent and as parents we need to take responsibility for their action. (of course as they become older we hope to teach them responsibility and how to be accountable.)

I am blessed to have 3 amazing children.

      • fredsarkari says:

Nadia, you sound like an amazing mother – your children are blessed to have you. And in turn the world is blessed to have children like yours as they take your lessons in life and help mold this world of ours.

  31. Mads says:

    Hey Fred

Sorry about the confusion with the changing emails/identities.

Answering in this blog simply has given me so much motivation to restart my own blog again that I will go back to using http://reachelite.com
Withing a couple of days my blog will start there again.

Hope to see you (both you: Fred and you: all of you who might have enjoyed my posts here) there.

I will keep hanging around here for sure. Love this blog.

    • fredsarkari says:

Mads, you always had some great insight on your blog. If you do not mind me saying, you are at a different level now. They have a sense of authenticity, speaking from the heart. You have come a long way.
Your ideas and insights need to be shared with the world.

      COngrats on restarting your blog.

      • Mads says:

        Thanks Fred.

I also feel I am where I want to be now.
Ready to help/coach/guide people who want more out of life but just need to take that little step that send them in the right direction.

        Mads

        • fredsarkari says:

Well said Mads, We know there is always more growth and awareness ahead of us. But we need to be happy with where we are at for this moment in order to be able to guide and coach others for their moments.

          • Mads says:

            Right said Fred.

The more happy I am the better a coach I am. Both on pool side and as a life/business coach.

  32. Mads says:

A note on how motivation is not rational…

I decided some time ago that I wanted an iPad but also that I didn´t want to take the money out of my budget to buy it since I don´t really need it….

When I saw the competition here I knew I would be going all in to win it and since then I have enjoyed writing here every day.
As with things I want to achieve in life I figure out what it takes and go for it consistently. Do what it takes to reach the goal.

    But is it rational…? Naaah
The hours I have spend writing in this blog could easily have paid for an iPad if I had spend that time working or coaching.

So why to do it and what made me motivated…?
Well. I like to WIN. And when the iPad is being given I know that I did what I could to have the biggest chance to win it. Werther I get it or not I know I did what I could.
Winning it would be great and make my mission complete.
Not winning would mean that the universe will send it to me from somewhere else. I still had the joy of commenting here in this blog and it has been a great journey for me.

Actually writing here has motivated for restarting my own blog that has been closed down for a while.
Also I have enjoyed this so much that I will for sure keep interacting with Fred here in his blog.

    So think about motivation….
Motivation very often doesnt make sense. I have seen that often in both my job as a swimming coach and as life coach.
For one client preparing the coffee machine in the evening was all it took to wake up 1 hour earlier in the mornings and go to the gym. Once he got used to preparing the coffee before going bed he got back in the shape he had when being a national team basket ball player.

Remember when there is something you want to motivate yourself or others to do that the tricker that start it all can be something very simple – and it will be different for all of us.

Lets keep enjoying Freds great blog!!

    Mads

  33. Nadia Buckley says:

Mads you most definatly got the best odds of winning the ipad. :o )

I’m gunna hold my lucky horse shoe close and keep my toes and fingers crossed though :o ) Truth be told, I never went into this wanting to win the ipad for myself but for my amazing husband. He’s wanted one for a long time but we both know it will never be in our bugdet so when sexy Ivan brought this/fred to my attention it seemed perfect.Win or lose I see the bigger picture…Fred rocks! So thanks Ivan :)

    Nadia :o )

  34. Mads says:

Nadia>> To start with the iPad was mainly for me. But after I dragged my girlfriend into the apple store to help her understand why I wanted one I am pretty sure that the iPad “I” get will be just as much for her.

And yeah – Fred rocks. I am happy to see how this competition has brought more great people to his blog.
Welcome Nadia and the rest of you :)

  35. Mads says:

    Today is the day… :)

Excited to see who will win!

  36. Travis says:

Just ordered a copy of your book. Looking forward to reading it (perhaps even on an IPad2…?).

    • fredsarkari says:

Travis, thanks for ordering the book. You just slipped in there for the free book as the launch just ended.

Already a winner for the ipad but we will be launching a new contest very very soon and you never know then.

      Thanks for your support
